Kreischberg is the happy winner of the following awards at the “International Ski Area Test”: “International Piste Seal of Quality in Double Gold”, “Fun & Action” – “Best Children’s Offers”, “Safety Trophy” for exemplary safety measures on the slopes and, finally, the particularly coveted award “Family Ski Area of the Year”. “Skiresort.de”, the world’s largest ski resort test portal, awarded Kreischberg as the test winner in the category “Top class: world’s leading ski resort with up to 60 km of slopes” in 2023.

Anna Gasser & Kreischberg
Kreischberg is Anna Gasser’s “home away from home”. Since the 2017/18 winter season, the giant landing airbag on Kreischberg has been a unique training opportunity for freestylers in Europe. The two-time Austrian “Sportswoman of the Year” spends many training days here every season. Anna won gold twice at the Olympic Games in South Korea and Beijing, and in Bakuriani she was crowned World Champion 2023 in Big Air. We are delighted for her amazing success!

The Snowpark Kreischberg has a single goal, namely to create ideal conditions for snowboarders and freeskiers who are keen freestylers or want to become one. The park is located right next to the Sunshine lifts and the Kreischi T-bar lift at 1,900 m above sea level.

What’s up on Kreischberg?
The winter season begins this Friday, December 6th! Thanks to our state-of-the-art snowmaking system, numerous slopes and lifts are ready to welcome you all the way down to the valley. From Friday, the Kreischberg 10-seater gondola, the Riegleralm gondola, the Rosenkranz chairlift, the Sixpack chairlift, and the Kreischi lift will be in full operation. We would like to inform you that throughout the entire 2024/25 winter season, all slopes and ski trails in the Lachtal ski area will be closed daily from 5:00 PM to 8:30 AM. During this time, grooming machines, including those with winch operation, will be in use, and the snowmaking system may also be operational. Before the season starts and after it ends, all slopes will be continuously closed due to various works (snowmaking, grooming, slope maintenance, etc.).
You can get your season tickets at a discounted presale price until December 15th (Steiermark Joker until December 5th) and take advantage of the many benefits in winter! On Friday and Saturday 10./11. January 2025 the world’s best Snowboard and Ski Freestyler come back to the World Championship venue of 2015! A Big Air Worldcup for Freeski and Snowboard is on the program, the finals are scheduled as evening events with floodlight.
